fillers

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and add volume to the lips and lower face. Fillers can help give you a more youthful look and smoother skin, as well as restoring lost facial volume due to aging or other factors. The most commonly used dermal filler is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps give skin structure, hydration, and suppleness.

HA fillers are made of very small particles that can be injected into the skin to add volume or reduce wrinkles. Fillers may also be used to plump up thin lips or create more definition in the face. Depending on the type of filler used, results can last anywhere from 3 to 18 months.

Lip fillers

At Prime MD Aesthetics and Wellness you have a choice of using a wide variety of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Dermal Fillers. Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is found naturally throughout your whole body and acts as a skin plumper. All HA Fillers are completely dissolvable, so in the unlikely event, you didn’t like the results, we can reverse them in seconds. Brands we use in the lips, we find that Versa, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane, and Restylane Kysse look the best. However, the differences between them are minimal and the results are almost entirely depended on the injectors skill level.  That being said, we’ll recommend a filler based on your individual needs but ultimately the choice is all yours!⁣

How long does lip filler last?

Most lip fillers can last for six to nine months, and sometimes up to a year. However, the longevity of your results is also subject to change depending on certain factors, including your age and how well your body responds to the injectable treatment. For example, while the expected longevity of Juvederm may be between nine and 12 months, it’s possible for the body to break down the injection formula much more quickly.

What determines the cost of lip filler?

It depends on the injector and medical spa clinic but the most important factors are the type of filler you are using, the look you are going for and how much filler is being used to create your aesthetic goals. For example, between the two, Juvederm is the less expensive filler, while Restylane is a bit pricier. However, the base price of these fillers is subject to change based on how many units are necessary to achieve the desired results. While some patients may only want to fill or augment the lips, others opt to treat the area around the mouth as well. Using additional fillers to relax fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth will inevitably require more units and cost more money.

Lower Face Filler

Jawline augmentations are a fast-growing, non-surgical treatment to enhance the look of your jawline and jowls. While some people naturally don’t have a sharp jawline, others start to get a sagging jawline due to the aging process. If you feel like your jawline is asymmetrical, lacks definition, or is sagging, you may want to consider a jawline augmentation. By placing filler along the jawline our Injectors are able to sculpt a tighter, more defined profile; making your face appear slimmer. Maybe you feel like your chin is too short or too small in relation to the rest of the face. If so, adding a filler to the chin can help create balance in the side profile.

What can I expect with jaw/chin enhancement?

A jaw/chin enhancement uses injections of dermal fillers such as Radiesse or Restylane Refyne and Defyne. During the treatment, small volumes of filler are injected at several places along the jawline. This process changes the contours of the area by filling in the skin from the inside out. The result is a jawline/chin that looks more prominent and well defined. The process is quick and virtually painless. Little downtime is needed, as you should expect swelling and bruising like any injection. Individual results may vary.⁣

How long will the results last?

The longevity of results depends on the age of the patient, their metabolism, the amount of exercise they do regularly, and the normal blood flow to the face. For example, someone who is young with a fast metabolism and more blood flow to the face will most likely burn through filler quicker than someone who is older. In addition to this, filler in certain areas of the face tend to last longer than others. Lip fillers only last about 6 months due to how much we move our mouths. However, filler in less mobile areas such as the tear troughs and cheeks lasts around 1 year. Each filler product is uniquely formulated, therefore some products will last longer than others. Please remember individual results will always vary. ⁣‍
